I aspire to compete at the collegiate level of track and field. Ever since my first high school practice, i've been obsessed with progressing my skills of throwing. My junior season was cut short due to my appendix surgery after the first meet. I was determined to not let that inhibit my spot on the team. I still attended every practice and meet for the rest of the year as a motivator and mentor for the younger athletes. I plan to make a big splash this year and get my name out there as one of the best throwers in the state. The thing that separates me from other candidates and throwers is my obsession to succeed. I will continue to push myself until I am physically unable to go anymore. Outside of sports, I am a very humble and personable person, and these traits translate into being a great mentor for younger throwers as someone who can compete at a high level but still have an outside character. Thank you for reading and your consideration.
