My goal is to continue at the next level competing as a student-athlete. I played several sports when I was growing up. I played baseball, basketball, football, soccer, and track and field. I tried out for track and field thinking it was just gonna be for fun but then I saw my true potential in the javelin throw and so I decided to take it very seriously. I began participating in track and field when I was nine years of age in 2012. My first year competing I made it to the Region 4 Regional in USATF and placed eighth. In the season of 2013, I was SC state champion, 2nd place Region 4 Championship, 3rd place USATF National Championship. 2014 season I finished 3rd place USATF SC State Championship, 3rd place Region 4 USATF Championship, and 11th place USATF National Championship. 2015 USATF SC State Championship, 2015 2nd place Region 4 Championship, and 2nd place USATF National Championship. I competed with the Myrtle Beach Track Club until the end of the 2015 season; however, 2016, 2017, and 2018 seasons I did not compete. I personally decided to make a return to track and field in 2019. I could not participate with Carolina Forest High School because javelin is not offered during the season at the school, so therefore I am required to compete at the local club level for USATF and AAU. The first meet of the 2019 season for me was the USATF SC State Championships, June 23, 2019, in which I placed 4th. The SC championship was my second time throwing the 800g javelin, my first time was six days prior when my coach was finally able to obtain a javelin to practice with, prior to that training just was just core and bungee drills. I will be competing in the 2022 track season at Carolina Forest High School and will be going to javelin camps that are held in the future. I also wish to go to a good college where I can fit in and bond with teammates and coaches and support and throw the javelin for whatever school I go to. I will bring a positive attitude, go 100% at everything on the field and in the classroom. I will also be competing in the discus throw and the shot put in the 2021-2022 track season. I am aiming to win states for all 3 events I am competing in and keep improving on all of those events and be the best I can be at those events. I personally want to compete at college level and and extend my academic career and give my all for that school that I go to.
