Hello Coaches, My name is Ethan Li, and I am a multi-event track athlete and the Varsity Team Captain of the class of 2026 at Thomas Jefferson High School for Science and Technology (TJHSST) in Alexandria, VA. During my sophomore year, I scored 4994 in the decathlon at the AAU Regional 5 Junior Olympic qualifier and earned the title of state champion. My strongest events are discus, shotput, and hurdles, but I am also consistently training in pole vault.
TJHSST is consistently ranked as one of the top 15 schools nationwide and is known for its extremely rigorous academic curriculum. Despite the demanding coursework, I have maintained a 4.1 GPA and scored 1530 on my recent SAT. I am also the captain of the Ocean Science Bowl team, and I won the high school division championship at the International Environmental Science Olympiad held in San Juan, Puerto Rico in December 2024. My passion for outdoor sports, such as track and sailing, has inspired me to pursue a STEM degree in Earth/Marine Science and Environmental Engineering.
Thank you for your time and considering. I am looking forward to hearing from you.
