Gideon Jacob '24 Recruiting Profile

Greetings Coaches, 

I'm Gideon Jacob, a Setter and Serving Specialist from NYC looking to play collegiate men's volleyball. I'm a very lively and enthusiastic player who is always looking to better not just myself as a player, but the people around me. I am looking for a place on your team as a Setter/Serving specialist. Of course, due to my height, I will most likely be playing back row setter. That being said I am still driven to go to the gym and become more athletic for serving, setting, getting to the ball faster, and playing defense because that's what I pride myself in. 

I go to a great school, however, It did not have a boy's team. After months of relentless work, I was able to create my school's boy's volleyball team from scratch and we will be competing against other schools this year. This summer I have been to a few training camps as well such as Princeton, and Husky Volleyball, and was chosen for an NYC Impact training camp. I also manage to help coach the Girl's Varsity Volleyball Team at Forman. In addition, I was asked to help coach young players In a summer volleyball camp in New York. This gave me a great opportunity to share my passion for this sport with newer players. These are just some of the many things a do and places I go to better my craft.

 Volleyball is something I have a true passion for in life and I am pushing every day to improve myself through this game as a player, teammate, and person. If you have any questions feel free to reach out to me and I will do the same. Thank you so much.
