Ajit Pranav Sivakumar '25 Recruiting Profile

My name is Ajit Sivakumar and I am a 5’9 outside hitter/libero. As a freshmen, I am the starting outside for my school team on Varsity and ranked the 5th best freshmen in New Jersey. I was 2nd team all division and have the most service aces on my team. Although our team is not the strongest, I have tried my hardest to influence the team for the better. Playing the sport of volleyball has shown me nothing is impossible, they are just difficult. Especially being on the shorter side, volleyball has showed me that there are always solutions. More than solutions I have also found something I enjoy more than anything my entire life. Repeatedly I would continent ot try many different things but they would just be phases of my life. Sports such as cricket, soccer, tennis were played for 6 months. I had a phase of wanting to be a rockstar. I think that this is the first time I found something that won’t be just a phase, and I will make sure that I continue to play no matter what. Because I found something that does make me have so much fun I also want to play at the next level. In terms of high school, I would like to make my school a prominent name atleast in the GMC, the conference we play in. As for me I want to be part of the highest caliber of players in the state or the country. In addition to that, I want to continue ot play volleyball in college, hopefully at the highest level. I believe that my commitment to my training will help me reach my goals, and not only that make me a more disciplined and rounded person. As for school, I am an all honors all A student. I always try to put my best foot forward with my teachers and friends, show my best side in order to make good relationships.

Before I finish, I wanted to write about an experience that I have had, with volleyball. Although I have only been playing volleyball for 8 months now, I do believe that I have had many great experiences and made many great friends. I was intoruced to the varsity team that has influenced me a lot in terms of my character. I have also been introduced to a great coach, who has helped me understand how amazing volleyball can be. Not only that he has made my life much more healthy. He has also helped me udnerstand what it means to be a good player and a good teammate. I have also been introduced to people like Vinil Shah who is the best player my freshmen year. People like him have inspired me to play much better and helped me understand how volleyball can impact my life. And for those reasons, I have made up my mind that I will never quit volleyball. I hope it stays a constant in my life and will continue to improve my game in order to play in higher levels.
