Diego Peña '22 Recruiting Profile

Hi, this is who I am.  I have been involved in sports since a young age. Playing basketball and volleyball for my school and clubs. Being part of the competitive world, I can ascertain I carry the values necessary for a college team.  Hard working, team player and focused are some of the qualities. Basketball was my first sport which I played since I was 5 until my sophomore year in High School. My volleyball career started in 2015 when I was introduced to beach volleyball. In the beach world I played for 4 years straight and in 2018 my partner and I finished 2nd in a local tournament, Festivol Puerto Rico. 

Key volleyball milestones:

- Formed and led the first Men's volleyball club at Bishop O'connell High school, Arlington, Virginia 2021-present. 

-Summer beach volleyball training, San Juan, Puerto Rico 2015-Present

- Randy Medina Nothing but the Best 210 Boys Tournament, Pasadena California. Awarded Most Valuable Player 

- Huntington Middle School, San Marino, California 2017. Awarded best offensive player

Looking forward to continuing my volleyball leadership and career at the collegiate level.
