2022 HighlightsI am a devoted, highly skilled and knowledgeable team player. I am a 3X USAWP Academic All-American. At the next level I aspire to make an impact as an unexpected threat from anywhere in the pool, and as a defensive technician that creates turnovers and counter opportunities.
At the beginning of my senior season, I was elected team captain of the Stadium High School Tigers boys water polo team, located in Tacoma, Washington. On the team, I excel at the 1, 2, 4, and 5 positions. At times this year I was called upon to play in the 3 and 6 position when needed. My role was to be a force that other teams reckoned with - our offense and defense ran through me. Our team played in the 2021 and 2022 HS state tournaments, placing 6th and 9th, respectively.
On my club team (Puget Sound Polo) this past summer at the 18U Junior Olympics I played primarily in the 4 and 5 positions, even though I am right handed. As one of our fastest swimmers with endurance, I was constantly driving from the 4-5 side. When playing the 4, I was either turning my defender in an iso play or driving to the post for a goal or exclusion. In the 5, I always provided a second option for a play or helped another teammate run iso with a drive across the pool.
While I am an undersized player, currently 5’10” weighing 140 pounds (just starting to grow now), I always play big and fast. I am rarely outmatched or outplayed. What I lack in size I make up for in hustle, heart, tenacity, quickness and anticipation. On offense I draw ejections often, turn players and maneuver to our advantage, and take smart risks and the right shots. My defense is stellar and intuitive, and a signature strength of my game.
I will be an asset to any team looking for a player that can be used in situations to create a spark or surprise. I look forward to discussing where I might be a fit within a program as a driver/attacker. If given the chance, I will not disappoint.
