My name is Joey Barrett and I am a Recruiting Coordinator with NCSA, having just begun in May of 2025. I recently graduated from the University Of Texas At Austin with my Master’s in Sport Management and before that got my Bachelor’s in Kinesiology-Sport Management at Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi. At TAMUCC, I was a student manager on the Islanders baseball team for 2.5 years, a role I also had during my junior college for the Wharton County Junior College Pioneers. I played football and baseball at Samuel Clemens High School in Schertz, Texas where I was part of state quarterfinalist teams in both sports.
My favorite part about working for NCSA is the fact that I can help make a difference in others’ lives, a value I’ve always strongly believed in. As somebody whose recruiting process was mostly self-handled, I hope that I can help in making the recruiting process for student athletes and their families much smoother and less stressful.
I am currently based out of San Marcos, Texas where I spend my free time going fishing, hanging with family/friends, and attending sporting events involving my favorite teams (as I am a diehard fan of the San Antonio Spurs, Houston Astros, Houston Texans, and Texas Longhorns).
