I was lucky enough to have the opportunity to compete in track and field at the college level. I had the chance to attend a wide range of schools. I selected a smaller school, Bethel College in Indiana, to fit my personal preference. During my time at Bethel, I was able to finish my career as a five-time NAIA All-American, and after graduation, held multiple school records in the long jump and the decathlon.
After my athletic career was finished, I started coaching at my alma mater for four seasons. I then took a coaching job at Olivet Nazarene University in Bourbonnais, Illinois, for a season before returning to Bethel. While coaching at these two institutions I was blessed with coaching two NAIA National Champions and 29 NAIA All-Americans.
My favorite part about working with NCSA is building the relationships with the student-athletes and their families. Guiding and directing them to where they want to go and what they want to become in the future is something I find great joy in. Outside of working at NCSA, I enjoy traveling and seeing new places around the world. I also enjoy being active and competing across the country by playing spikeball and slow pitch softball.
