Hi! My name is Ryan Carlson, and I am the graphic designer at NCSA. I graduated DePaul University with a BFA in grapic design with a concentration in Interactive and Social Media. While I did not play sports in college, I experienced the positive effects athletics can have in my own life. In high school, I was on the bowling team and in the school band. These activities made me realize how hard it is to juggle school, work and extracurriculars at the same time. That isn’t even mentioning the added stress of trying to get noticed by college coaches. I love working at NCSA because I can help student-athletes realize their dream of playing their sport at the collegiate level while making the process much easier to navigate.
When I’m not at NCSA, I like to continue to bowl every chance I get. In the marketing department, we have a bowling team with the Chicago Sport and Social Club that plays every Tuesday during the fall and winter months. We are two-time defending champions, not to brag or anything. I also enjoy going out into the city and exploring all it has to offer. Going to street festivals, walking around a new neighborhood, and running along the lake are things I love doing in my spare time.
I have been fortunate enough to work with some of the most passionate people I have ever had the pleasure of working with. NCSA has built an incrediable network of individuals that truly want to see student-athletes excel at the sports they love the most. Working at NCSA has been an amazing experience, and I look forward to helping more of our student-athletes in the future.
