I have over 25 years’ experience in collegiate athletics to include coaching women’s basketball and serving as college athletic director. MY desire to help families find the best fit, academically and athletically with the most aid possible is a driving factor for being a part of NCSA. The recruiting process can be overwhelming and finding an institution of higher education that the student athlete will enjoy can be a daunting process. It is the combination of decades of recruiting experience and a desire to help others that led me to joining the NCSA team.

For 18 years, I mentored Women’s Basketball players and included them in many community service projects. I have always felt that it is important to “give back” to my community. Many of my former women’s basketball players came from less fortunate backgrounds and I have always been committed to assisting and encouraging young women into applying for and receiving scholarships in order to complete their education.

Under my tenure as Athletic Director at Phoenix College, two teams won national championships in softball and men’s basketball. The men’s basketball national championship was the first community college men’s basketball national championship in the history of AZ. I was also the first and only female athletic director of a school that offered football the over 100 year history of Maricopa Community Colleges. In spring of 2011, I was honored by Phoenix College as the Woman of Distinction. I was also awarded two innovation of the year awards for student success initiatives and commissioned the design and implementation of the current Phoenix College athletic logo.

An Arizona native, I played basketball at nationally renowned Central Arizona College and for a short stint at the University of Northern Colorado.

Education has always been a priority for me. I hold a Bachelor of Science Degree from ASU and a Master’s of Education Degree with an emphasis on Diversity from Bloomsburg University. The greatest passion in my life is being the mom to Tiegan and Kai.
