I attended the University of Wisconsin Whitewater where I played collegiate softball for 4 years while attaining a degree in corporate health communications and a minor in coaching. Unlike most high school athletes, I was unsure if I wanted to play softball at the college level so I never went through the recruiting process. Last minute, I decided to try out for the team and I made it as a walk on. Deciding to play a sport in college was one of the best decisions I have made and I’m very grateful for all the amazing people I have met because of that decision. Although it was too late for me to get recruited, I know many athletes who have used NCSA and how helpful our platform has been for their recruiting process.

I’ve been involved in sports my whole life and come from an athletic background which started with my grandpa winning the Heisman Trophy for Notre Dame. From there, 8 of the 26 cousins followed in his footsteps and played sports at the college level, one making it to the NFL. My cousin Robert Spillane is currently on the Steelers and wears the number 41, which happened to be my grandpa’s number as well when he played for the Steelers back in 1954. Seeing that come full circle has been such a fun experience for our large family!

Since I have always had such a strong passion for sports, I knew that I wanted to work for a company that still allowed me to be involved even though my playing days have come to an end. I’m fortunate to have found a job that keeps me connected while also allowing me to help other high school athletes chase their dreams of playing at the college level!
