Hi, I am Kyla Milne, a 2024 Grad, of Catcher/Utility, I play for AK Firecrackers 18u, GPA-4.02. I have played softball for 6 years now and I have loved every minute of it. I played JV as a starter for 2 years and 1 year started for Varsity at AJ Dimond Highschool. I am primarily homeschooled at Family Partnership Charter School but have taken AP Human Geography, AP Environmental Science, AP Biology, and Office Aide at my local high school. I am part of the Mock Trial Club, Debate Drama Forensics (DDF) Club, and Green Affects Club at my local high school.
I want to go to college because I want to pursue a career in Biology or political science I am still undecided between the two. I want to do biology for the molecular component of genetics which has always fascinated me since we started learning about it in the 6th grade. It is something that I am passionate about and learn about in my free time. Why, I can't decide between the two is because I know that with a political science degree, I can make the world a better place through law and the judicial systems we have in place. Many of my close friends and family believe I would do very well in this field. But I have a love for both and I strive to find their commonality together.
I want to play college ball because I love the intensity of the game. I love playing on the field with girls that I know want to play as much as I do. Softball has been one of the best things that has happened to me, it has given me opportunities to travel the country, make friends, and create connections with great people. I want to further this into the beginning of my adult life and take anything I learn from my experiences playing beyond softball.
