Shanoah Spear '24 Recruiting Profile

Hello, my name is Shanoah Spear, I have played softball for the past 9 years and i have been pitching for 7. I am interested and eager to play at the collegiate level and am currently interested in Junior colleges but would be open to the idea of a larger school. My main played positions are pitcher and short stop although i have played in other positions around the field such as outfield, catcher, and second base. My career goal is to become a pilot and I am currently looking for schools that have an aviation program, although it wouldn't be a deal breaker if your school does not have a flight program, it would be convenient. My freshmen year my pitching only consisted of fast balls and i was focusing on accuracy, I pitched around 45 MPH, my sophomore year i jumped up to 55 MPH, my junior year 57 MPH, and this year i have a goal to hit around 60-63 MPH. The different pitches i am able to throw are fast ball, change up, curve, screw, and I am working to make my rise and drop balls more concise. 

Also, growing up I was a multisport athlete ranging from wresting, hockey, basketball, and volleyball. Once I got into my sophomore year, I chose to focus on softball and pitching in my off season. For the past 2 years I've spent the fall and the winter months conditioning and pitching to take my pitching to the next level.
