Katherine Thiessen '25 Recruiting Profile

I have been a pitcher since I started playing softball at the age of 6.  I love how challenging pitching is, it's always a battle between you and the hitter. The batters trying to hit and you are trying to get them out.  My favorite battles are against the best hitters. I can't wait to face them because if you want to be the best you have to beat the best.

I am a leader on my team. I keep my team focused by leading by example and helping them whenever they need it. I always strive to get better every day and be the hardest working one on the diamond whether in a game or practice.

My work ethic and leadership do not just stay on the field. I work hard in class to maintain a high GPA. I will help my classmates and teachers whenever I can.  I always go help coach and referee the elementary school sports.

I want to attend university to challenge myself to do new things in the classroom and on the field. I am open to any opportunities that will push me to be the very best. I hope to become a great leader one day and inspire others to work hard.
