Devyn Rice '24 Recruiting Profile

My name is Devyn Rice, I am a 2024 right handed middle infielder/Utility/Catcher with a solid bat, strong defence and a love for stealing bases.

I’ve been playing softball for 9 years. After my first few years of community softball, I fell in love with the game and knew I wanted to be playing elite softball. I was fortunate to find a competitive level of softball in my home town of Olds Alberta and  have played with the same core group of girls . Our team has won provincial championships at A and B levels. In 2021 I tried out and made the Alberta Athletics Elite travel club team. My intent of joining this team was to play at a higher level and to get more exposure to college coaches and scouts with hopes of playing at a collegiate level someday. 

Outside of softball, you will find me on the court playing volleyball, basketball and badminton. I am also a provincial cross country runner and compete in various track events.  Working out is a passion of mine, and you will find me in the CLC fitness center before school multiple days a week.  

I enjoy giving back to the community and will be helping coach a U11 softball team this upcoming season.  I also help Jason Jaffray with his Edge Hockey school during the summer months.
