Hi, Coach, my name is Jazlyn Grice and I'm a Junior at Globe High School in Globe, Arizona. I'm 5'5". I am a hardworking and dedicated softball player. I've been playing softball since I was 8 years old. I’ve always wanted to play in college while working towards my degree. My plan is to major in the medical field and then go on to become an Anesthesiologist. I am currently taking honor classes while maintaining a 3.8+ GPA. Knowing that I'm capable of playing softball in college makes me more passionate about this sport. I’ve been the starting pitcher and co-captain of my high school Varsity team since Freshman year. What I can offer to a team is commitment and the promise to always work hard and never give up. When it comes to choosing what school I would like to go to, I am mainly looking at D2 colleges in Arizona, California, or Louisiana, but I’m keeping an open mind. Also, it doesn't matter about the size or location; if I will be receiving a good education, as long as I can still play softball I will be happy. My choice for a major is Nursing. My realistic athletic goals are to continue playing the sport I love at a highly competitive level. Another goal of mine is to make an impact on the team and to all the little girls in my hometown who look up to me, which our team took the 2019 2A South Region Conference Champions title and I was named 2A South Region Offensive Player of the Year! Awesome accomplishments. Knowing at the end of the day that I put in 110% and tried my hardest keeps me going and keeps a smile on my face.
