Personal Statement
Hello, my name is Paige Thomas, and I will be graduating in the year of 2022, I am a 6'0’’ catcher from Russellville, Arkansas. Softball is one of the biggest parts of my life; I have basically grown up around the ball fields and spent countless hours watching games and playing travel ball. Softball is where I have gained my competitive spirit. I am competitive in almost everything I do including school work. I always want to do my best and I'm always pushing myself to think outside the box and to not be like everyone else. Along with making me more competitive, softball has given me the chance to make so many friends. Softball has helped me to develop leadership skills, time management skills and a more outgoing personality.
Along with softball, school and church are also very important to me. I have been raised knowing that academics come before sports. To help me succeed in high school I take AP and Honors classes to push myself and learn as much as possible. I am the secretary of Honor Society, I volunteer at church and in my community to push myself to be a well-rounded student. I work hard to maintain a 4.0 GPA all while playing three school sports and travel softball. Sports is an important part of my life that I don't want to lose as I begin my college career. I would like to find a softball family at a college with good academics and a home town feeling. While in college I plan to major in either Physical Therapy or Sports Medicine. Thank you for giving me this opportunity to share my personal statement.
