Thank you for taking the time to review my profile! My name is Izzy Gonzalez. Starting from the young age of four softball has always been a big part of my life. Whether it was going to support my own cousins at their softball games. To following my own path and becoming a softball player myself. Softball has brought me as many accolades as it has shortcomings. As much success as it has failure. However, as Michelle Obama once said, “failure is a part of the process. You just learn to pick yourself back up.” From these failures softball has taught me the core values of strength, determination, perseverance, coachability, and composure. Additionally, softball has taught me about the importance of community and competing for a bigger cause than myself. Softball is my way of bringing glory to those who have helped me get where I am today whether its bringing that to my family who has sacrificed a lot to afford me the opportunities I have. To my teammates who rally around me and pick me up when I have fallen. In my time playing softball I continually strive to be a player who’s relentless, disciplined, and continuously learning, pushing myself to achieve excellence daily while supporting my teammates.
