Hello Coaches,
I’m Amber Rodriguez , class of 2023. I’ve planned on attending college since I was in elementary. Setting the goal of playing collegiate softball at such a young age gave me the desire, ambition, and mindset to develop my skill to play for a top organization, the Corona Angels. This wouldn’t be possible with out the encouragement of former coaches, teammates, and of course my parents. I continue to challenge myself with AP and Honors courses and carry a 4.4 weighted GPA . I train and practice just as hard, dedicating hours in the gym and on the field to better my softball skills and strengthening my body to prepare myself for college.
Being a student athlete hasn’t come easy and although it’s been tough at times, I would do it all over again because I love the game. Softball has taught me more than just how to play the game, it’s provided lessons to structure my life and future around. Softball has taught me resilience, courage, teamwork and how to over come adversity and I use these tools to succeed on and off the field. Many of us dream of playing in college but only few have what it takes to see it through. I’m grateful for all the support I have received through my career and will always be thankful.
