My name is Alexandra Ballester and my friends call me "Aly". I have been playing softball since I was five years old. My first 8U team did not have a pitcher, so I took on the challenge. I fell in love with the position and now I can't wait for the weekend when I can take the mound and dominate the game. I consider myself a hardworking team player and I constantly strive to improve both on the field and in the classroom. As a student-athlete the most important thing I have learned is to manage my time between God, school, sports, and family/friends. It is not always easy but definitely possible. I am blessed to have a family that supports my goal of playing college softball. I have an older brother in college that I Iook up to and a younger brother that makes me laugh everyday.
Playing softball in college will help me continue to gain leadership skills that will benefit me in my career. I would like to attend a University that offers a major in the Social Sciences (Sociology/Psychology) with an emphasis in Criminal Justice or Pre-Law. I would ultimately like to attend law school. I am looking for a school that will challenge me academically and a softball team that works hard together to grow and elevate our game.
