Malianna Liongitau '27 Recruiting Profile

I envision my college years to be a personal growth period, with goals to excel both academically and athletically. I grew up in a Polynesian family of Division 1 football players with a sibling who is a Director of Recruiting at a Power 4 school so I understand the work, dedication and commitment required to compete at a high level. On the field, I plan to be a dynamic player and positive influence on the team. As I grow both physically and mentally throughout my college softball career, I will strive to be an asset defensively and offensively. Most importantly, I will conduct myself with honor and respect on and off the field, knowing that the way I carry myself reflects my team, my coaches and the school I attend.  Athletically, I aim to bring my passion and dedication by contributing to the team’s success and striving to improve my skills continuously. My long-term vision includes not only competing at a high level but also setting a positive example for my teammates through hard work and sportsmanship. Academically, I have balanced the demands of school and athletics effectively. My involvement in Tagata Pasifika and our cultural events has allowed me to develop strong leadership and organizational skills, which I believe will benefit the team. My commitment to continuous improvement and my eagerness to learn from every experience make me a unique asset to your program.
