Personal Statement
To me, softball is not a sport or a game; it is a passion. I first fell in love with the game when I was eight years old, and I am excited to see the places it will take me. Due to the help of experienced coaches, supportive parents, encouraging teammates, dedication, and hard work, I have developed into the player I am today. I believe that I have evolved so much, not only as a player but also as a person. Being the goal-oriented person that I am, I aspire to have the finest education that I can find while also being able to play softball at the highest level.
If I was given a dime for every time someone called me a social butterfly, I would be a millionaire. Extroverted as I am, I have many close friends and gain new acquaintances easily. My friends and teammates confide in me their personal situations because they trust me and think the advice I give them is helpful. If someone were to ask one of my friends to describe me, they would most likely say that I am trustworthy, sociable, funny, and caring. I value all of the relationships in my life, and I am always excited for opportunities to make new ones.
Although I love softball, academics are the number one priority in my life. My greatest desire is to go to a good school that can offer me an education that will provide me with a strong foundation and starting point for my future. I am always willing to work really hard, which is why if I put my mind to something, I can make it happen. Dedication is not something I take lightly, and I think it is important to know that if I am in, I am all in. Coaching wise, I really like coaches that are open to new ideas as well as their own because I think it is important to have a dynamic relationship. All in all, I am really looking for a strong connection with the right coach, a love for the school and campus, and an academic program that helps shape my future.
