https://youtu.be/...My name is Jacqueline Lemus. I am a 2022 catcher/3rd baseman from San Jose, California and I play for Corona Angels Gomez. I am 5’2, 150 lbs, and have a 1.9 pop time and 58 overhand. I would have to say that the spot I love to play the most is behind the plate, but I enjoy playing third whenever I can. Normally I bat in the middle in the hitting lineup between 4-6. Hitting is and always has been my favorite part of playing, I am always trying to help my team by doing my job and having productive at-bats. Even if it a sacrifice fly or I need to hit it the opposite way I’ll do what it takes to help the team. I will do anything I can to help my team win by hitting line drives in the gaps to score runs. My favorite part about catching is that I am in every play, the game can’t start without the catcher and that’s what excites me the most is that I’m engaged every pitch. The most important thing for me when I am behind the plate is that my pitchers know that they can trust me and we have a good bond that we can depend on each other. My current GPA is 3.5 and my SAT score is 1130. This game has been part of my life since I was six and not a day has gone by since then where softball wasn't part of it. I have never been the tallest on my teams which always gave me a reason to work harder. I had to get good at time management with softball and school all the time and it has made me stronger as a person and a ballplayer. I know I can work hard to reach any goals you or myself set for me. My love for the sport is endless and I can never imagine my life without it and to get the chance to play four more years at the highest level has always been a dream of mine that I am determined to accomplish. If you have any questions on anything you would like me to do to help me in recruiting with your program, feel free to let me or my Club coach Robert Gomez at 831-421-1927. Thank you :-))
