julianna phillips '13 Recruiting Profile

  My name is Julianna, i go to excelsior high school and i play a variable amount of sports. Im very athletic im 5'8 weight is 150 and i'm very fast.My number one sport is softball im a utility player i mostly play shortstop, coaches tell me i play that spot very well because i have a very strong and powerful arm and im quick to getting to the balls. my seconday position is 3rd base i always love playing the ''hot spot''..i would like to attend Sand Diego Mesa Community College or Ctrus Community College then transfer to University of Hawaii the reason for going to a community college first if my family dosent have the money for me to go straight to a university,and because i want to start out small first i havent really had the chance to play at varsity level for long but i know i have the ability to, so that way when i get to a university i can play at the highest level possible in college as a freshman and continue on from there.I want to major in coneciology and become a physical sports therapist for the WNBA. softball is my life my passion for softball is incredibly large i'v played softball since i was 5yrs old and have loved it from day 1. I hustle all the time im the one on the team thats keeps everyone up when were losing by 10, have a great attitude and great sense of humor. And then theres volleyball. i've played volleyball since my 7th grade year i started off at silverado high school fresman and sophmore year and played the starting middel hitter/blocker for our junior varisty team. Now im at excelsior high school and playing varisty middel and outside hitter. our team was 7 and 3 this season and made it all the way to 2nd round cif. it was our first year making it to cif. going to college for either sport for any school would really inspire me more and more everyday to get better and become the best of the best.
