Softball has been a huge part of my life for the past 5 years. It started out as just a fun little thing I wanted to do to make my mother happy and to keep busy in the summer. I wanted to try something new, but it quickly grew bigger than that. I found myself in love with the game almost instantly. I fell in love with the dirt stains, the bruises, and the sound the ball makes as it hits the glove in that perfect spot. When i'm out on the field nothing else matters because i'm right where I belong.
I started off on recreational teams but began to play at a higher intensity when I joined my high school team in the summer of my freshman year. Ever since I have had a hope and dream of being able to play at the collegiate level. I walked into the sport knowing I wanted to be a pitcher but I was also open to all the positions. Getting experience around the entire field from every aspect helped me to gain more respect for the game. I learned that one hit, pitch, or catch can be the difference between a good game and a bad game. I'm a strong infielder but am also a great outfielder when not on the mound, I'm a very reliable and open player and will always do what is asked of me. I'm always wanting to know how I can improve my game. My mindset is always positive and I have always been good at controlling my emotions during distressed times and I'm a team player. I'm a strong believer in the saying that 'a team is only as great as there weakest player'. You have to build up your team, improve as a team not just on your own. That goes for on and off the field as well.
I'm a hard worker on and off field, I'm a strong student with a 3.5 average GPA and I'm very active in my community. I love to attend social events and sporting activities. I'm very independent and consistent in my work, you can tell that I put time and effort into my study's and that I care. I find it important to have relationships with my superiors because it creates a mutual respect where they trust you and you trust them. It creates a very comfortable environment. I believe that I would make a great aspect to any team.
