Personal Statement
Hello, my name is Corey Bollock. I am a junior at Roaring Fork High School. I have been playing softball since I was six years old. I enjoy this sport because of the happiness, adrenaline, and rush the game itself brings me. I have always loved to play softball from the first time I started. I got into softball through my mom. She played college softball at Liberty University in Virginia. She taught me to play the game and I grew to love it. I still play because of the way the game makes me feel, the joy it brings to me. There is no better feeling than hitting a good hit or a home run. The same thing in the field, catching the pop-up, throwing down and getting the out, a double-play ball, or simply an out, excites me. I love that rush and I don't get that feeling from anything else the way I do when I play softball. I could not imagine continuing onto college without being able to play the sport I love at a higher level. I am a very competitive, driven, and coachable athlete and I hope to continue to play the game I love in college.
