Allison Westbrook '20 Recruiting Profile

Ever since I was a little girl beginning my softball career, I always dreamed of playing collegiate softball. Softball has been such a big part of my life that I want nothing more than to continue to play the game in college. Softball has taught me leadership skills on and off the field. The game taught me teamwork, and most importantly, softball taught me how to overcome adversity even in the worst times. I never give up, on the field or in the classroom. When I make a mistake, I push myself to learn from the errors rather than dwell on them. I give my best effort in everything that I do, but am aware that I have a lot to learn. Being coachable sets me apart from many athletes because I listen to the advice from my coaches and try my best to apply it to my play. I display positive attitude, leading by example and inspiring my teammates to rise to the challenge as well. My work ethic and dedication occurs beyond the softball field, extending to the classroom and my relationships, where I continue to push myself, try my best, and advocate for myself and other students.
