Olivia Trombley '24 Recruiting Profile

Hello,           

         My name is Olivia Trombley and I would love to tell you a little about me. To start off I am 5’11”and 17 years old. My main position is pitcher but play 1st, and left field. I currently play for Batbusters 18U Gold - Smith out of Parker Colorado and my number is 24. I first started playing rec softball when I was 5 years old and I haven't stopped since. The last 12 years been playing level B/A competitive softball.  When I was little I always wanted to be a softball player, my mom was a softball player and I grew up watching her. I've never had a passion for anything else but softball. I am currently a sophomore at Ponderosa High School.

I have two private coaches for pitching and batting. My pitching coach is Allison Porter. She is the assistant coach at Ponderosa High School for softball. As a pitcher, I have 6 pitches: fast, change, screw, curve, drop, and rise. My current fastball speed is 66 miles per hour. The speed of my changeup is between 50 and 54 miles per hour.  My best pitch is definitely my curve. I have been the starting pitcher in high school since my freshman season. With that comes the responsibility to pitch against some of the strongest competitors. This has helped me grow. I have struggled in the past with my batting but I've put in the extra work to get better with the help of my coach Ashley Rowley. She has me now with a bat exit velocity of 80mph.  

I am looking to explore a career in physical therapy  or sports management.

 A lot of people ask me if I play a different sport. My main sport is softball. I work so hard and really have limited time for anything else. I reached out of my comfort zone and tried Track and Field throwing the discus for the first time this year and made all the way it to the State finals.

When I do get time off in the winter I am still training for softball but I love to ski. That is my winter sport.
