Unlike other players in my area, I didn't start playing softball until fourth grade after deciding I wanted to branch out of my comfort zone. When I started the sport I instantly fell in love with everything about it but the only issue was that I was extremely behind the other girls. I instantly had to work harder in order to have the skills to put me at the same level as others. I continue to work as hard as I did when I started. I play on the Joel Barlow Varsity high school team and was the starting 3rd baseman my freshman year. When we won the Class L State Championship title, it was a realization of all the hard work I had put into the sport. I am currently the starting catcher for Joel Barlow.
I put 100% effort in everything I do, on and off the field. My coaches always compliment me on how hard I work and what a great team player I am. I look forward to pursuing my softball career in college and look forward to continuing my growth.
