My collegiate goals are to get out there and be apart of sports, other clubs, and organizations apart or on campus at the school. Things that have inspired me to be the person I am today are my parents and friends. I aspire to show them that I can succeed in life and that I can be a great helpfully person to anyone I come across in life. My love for softball started around the age of 9 or 10, when I went out to my friends game and she handed me a glove to help her warm up, and fell in love with the feeling of being on a team and making new friends. I learned as I continued to play that I am a good leader and can help my teammates out that are just starting out or have little experience. My academic goals for college are to keep up my A, B, and C grades. Some obstacles I had to overcome to get me where I am in my sport was putting myself out there to the club coach and to the school coaches to show them I have the potential to grow as a person and athlete. Some unique skills I acquire are I'm self motivated, good with problem solving, and adaptable. I am a self-taught pitcher because I could play ever other position on the field and wanted to learn the skills of a pitcher. So I went onto Youtube and watched videos from Jenny Finch and other college players or coaches, since we could not afford pitching lessons. I would go outside set up my net and pitch into it, and then I would move onto a field pitching to my dad. I eventually got to pitch in games in my club leagues and on the school team.
