I love to play ball. Growing up with two brothers, I developed a passion for playing with a ball, whether it was a soccer ball, basketball, baseball, or softball. Nothing is better than feeling the adrenaline as I am running around third base heading for home or as I am dribbling past defenders and taking a jump shot.
My path in softball is different than most other girls. I have played baseball all of my life including on a boys' travel team, a Little League World Series Team where we played at the LL Regionals (twice), and a women's team. In addition, in 2015 I was a finalist for the USA Women's National Baseball Team.
Teamwork is essential to success. As a two-year starter on Georgetown Visitation's Varsity softball team, I have proven myself to be a hard worker and a solid team contributor. In addition to softball, I also play Varsity basketball, where we won the State and league championships in 2015, travel baseball, and recreational soccer. I strive to be an encouraging teammate both on the field and on the court.
My goals motivate me. As I think about college, one of my personal goals is to play college softball and continue my sports career at the next level. I believe I have both the capability and determination to succeed in college sports, and I am looking forward to the opportunity to demonstrate my abilities on the softball field.
My family supports me. So, most importantly, I work hard to make my family proud.
