Whitney Kelly '22 Recruiting Profile

I have been playing softball since I was five years old. Ever since I stepped on the field, I dream about playing at the collegiate level. I know that playing in college is a once in a lifetime opportunity that could change my whole life.

I am a team leader and I lead by example not just on the field but off the field as well. Maintaining a positive attitude throughout the game is essential to winning. I‘m very coachable and strive to be one of the hardest working players not just in the outfield but on the team. I am one of the hardest working recruits you will find.

In the classroom, I study to maintain a GPA of 3.71. My excelling grades got me accepted into the National Honors Society. I’m currently ranked third in my Senior class at Andrew Jackson High School.  I’m currently attending a Job Readiness Skills training class that teaches applicants communication skills within a work environment, how to efficiently solve problems, developing good work ethic, and creating resumes. I love to give back to the community by participating in handing out food for the people in need through my church.

My desire is to attend a college where I can challenge myself in the classroom as well as on the softball field. I am open to all options and want to ultimately find the right college through the recruiting process. I’m searching for a college that possesses high competition, on the field and in the classroom. My goal for my future self is to be a role model for all my peers as well as making my parents proud.
