Personal Statement
At first playing baseball or softball was not on my bucket list, but I have learned to love the game and I now cannot see myself not playing it. I love the fact that it’s a team sport because my teammates then become my family and new best friends. My teammates help me become a better player and person in general. The game of softball teaches me to be a leader and be a team player. I know that I can always improve because there is always someone way better than me. I am a very committed player and teammate on and off the field. I love to have fun even when the game is not in our favor, I am one to bring the team up and have the confidence that we will bounce back. I have also been a teammate that other teammates come to when they need help bouncing back or just needing the confidence to get in the box or getting back on the field. On the field during a game and practice you can always count on me to give my 110% effort. I have always been someone who does not like quitting and love trying new positions and love challenges. School has been more important to me than softball because if I cannot get the grades than there’s no point in trying to get on the field. Softball pushes me more to do better in school because I can’t imagine not being on the field. I would like to become a physical therapist or a softball coach because I love the game of softball and the fact that I would get to share the information and the mental part of the game is incredible.
