Hi! My name is Jillian and I have been playing softball since I was 5. I am very passionate about the game and love to play. I have made so many friends and connections throughout the years of playing. When I'm with my team, I love to have competetive fun and play every game my own personal best. If we're down I try to stay positive and help everyone focus on trying our best. I always try to put the needs of the team before my own.
I play short stop and I am also a right handed pitcher. One of the most important accomplishments to me has been that I have pitched every year on JV and Varsity as the starting pitcher. This last year, I had to step things up and really focused on learning to throw more pitches and hit the spots on demand. I went to a new pitching coach who is trying to help me increase my speed and throw all the pitches needed by any team. I also am going to a personal trainer this summer to make sure I stay in top shape for my senior year and college. I have been the winning pitcher for all of the last three years for the City of Chicago Championships where I led my team to 3 consecutive wins. This is a big accomplishment because Chicago is a large city and my high school is huge.
I've been playing on my high school team for three years now and consider school my primary objective. My school is composed of many student-athletes and I am in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) program at my school. I would love to play at a college that where I can give something back to others, and where it can help me reach my full academic potential as well as playing potential!
