Softball has transformed my life. The sport has given me countless opportunities, has taught me life lessons, and has allowed me to explore new places and meet life-long friends. I cannot imagine giving up the experience of athletics once I go off to college.
In the very least, being part of a softball team for almost the entirety of my life has helped me become a trustworthy and responsible person. I also accept constructive criticism well, and work to improve my game in all I do. Being a leader both on and off the field requires me to be a fully dedicated and passionate student-athlete. I always have a smile on my face, and I show nothing but respect to my peers and coaches alike.
In college, I hope to pursue a major in engineering. I have considered both environmental engineering and chemical engineering. I am also looking to pursue a second major/minor in some type of communication studies or secondary education. During my high school years, I have discovered a love of teaching and interacting with others. I hope to inspire others with my words, actions, and a cheerful disposition, similar to how many of my mentors have inspired me!
