Personal Statement
Softball is my passion. I just completed my fourth fall of travel softball and it has been my best. I have been able to increase my skills every year as I mature into my adult body. Hard work and perseverance are the keys to my success. I hate to finish in second place, so I am constantly pushing myself to be better at everything I do. Whether it is on the field, in the classroom, my community or my home, I always give my best.
My goal is to pursue an education and then career in Sports Management / Sports Marketing while competing at a high level athletically. My dad played college baseball and has helped me develop the work ethic that will enable me to succeed anywhere I am fortunate enough to continue my play.
As a true left-hander (bat and throw), I am limited as to the positions where I am able to play, but that hasn't held me back from learning every position (except pitcher). For me it is always TEAM first. Because of my speed and size, my role has been changed from catcher to outfielder so that I can help my team be successful. I have learned to love playing the outfield and am improving my skills daily! My speed has afforded me the opportunity to become a multi-tool player. Not only do I lead-off for my team, but I am also a power hitter and Triple Threat slapper (which I just recently learned). I may not play on the "National" club teams, but my skill-level and abilities are in par with the girls who play at that level. All I need is a chance to prove myself on the field.
