My name is Bella Walton and I am currently a junior at Geneva High School. I have grown up playing the game of softball since the age of 6, and I am now at the point in my life where I would like to pursue playing softball in college. I am a very competitive and determined athlete and do not like accepting failure when I play competitive sports. I believe the only way at getting better at something is by challenging and pushing yourself to the limit. I try to be the best athlete I can be but most importantly I try to be a great teammate. I believe having a strong team bond is the only way to achieve major milestones.
This past year, my travel team, the Geneva Foxes placed 2nd at the USSSA Columbus, IN National Tournament. We made it to the final game based upon our commitment to each other on the team.
My freshman year I made the Geneva High School varsity team as the only freshman which was a major personal goal accomplishment of mine. After making the varsity team, I learned so much from the upperclass players by what a true leader consists of and the importance of being a team player. This upcoming year I strive to be one of the team leaders and a role model for the new Freshman class.
