Makayla Ziegler '24 Recruiting Profile

Hi, my name is Makayla Ziegler. I am 16 years old and live in Lexington, Illinois. First and foremost I maintained a 3.89 GPA throughout my freshman and sophomore years . I am a member of the National Honor Society and the National  Society of High School Scholars. I am a member of key club at my high school. I am 5’ 10.  I am a multi sport athlete . I am a  2024 graduate and  play softball, volleyball, basketball cheer, football cheer and competition cheer for my school. I was a three year starter in three sports in junior high from sixth through eighth grade. I was a starter on my high school volleyball varsity team both freshman and sophomore year, and the starting 3B/SS on my HS varsity softball team my freshman year and starting 3rd baseman my sophomore year. I started playing softball when I was 7 years old. This year is my sixth year of travel softball. I played on Heartland Chaos 05 for one year, The Avanti's Yellow Jackets for three years as the starting 3rd baseman, and this is my 2nd season playing on The BNGSA Angels at SS. For the past three years I've batted either third or fourth in the lineup. I believe I would be a good candidate for a team because I have a positive attitude, I am coachable, I am a team player, and I am a hard worker. In my free time I like to swim, hang out with friends, or watch netflix. In college I hope to study healthcare or criminal justice. My ultimate dream for playing softball in college would be Florida State University; however, I will appreciate any opportunity to continue my education and playing the sport I love after high school.
