Personal Statement
Since I've been 8 years old, I have been a multi-sport athlete-softball being my first love. On the field, I am determined to be the best player out there both on the offensive and defensive end. Sports in general has taught me how to work hard, set goals and achieve them, know what it truly means to be part of a team. I have a 3.5 GPA and I credit my mom and my coaches for pushing me to do my best in the classroom. I know without the grades, I wont be able to step foot onto the field, which is what motivates me to work hard in the classroom.
As a freshman, I was fortunate enough to be part of both the Varsity softball and basketball teams at Victor J. Andrew High School. As a under class man, I had to prove to coaches, players, and most importantly myself that I deserved to have a spot on the varsity level. This goes back to the hard work I put into sports. I refuse to settle for anything less than a win for my team.
My next goal that I am working hard to achieve is to play college softball. Whatever level I am lucky enough to play at, I hope to make an immediate impact in anyway possible to help bring a conference championship and a spot in the college world series for the university I attend. I know this goal will take hard work and determination, but I hope to be part of the 5% of high school softball players that continue to play in college.
