Michelle Birkholz '17 Recruiting Profile

My name is Michelle Birkholz. I will graduate in 2017 from Schaumburg High School and I play for the Schaumburg Sluggers 18U Travel Team. The positions I play are pitcher, first base, second base and outfield.  As a high school freshman I started on the JV team as the starting pitcher and was later moved up to varsity for regionals. My batting average was a .529. As a sophomore I am the starting second baseman. I have a 3.5 GPA. I would like to play for a school where I can contribute from the start, excel academically and use my skills to make an immediate impact on their program. I have been playing travel softball since 10u. Being a pitcher has taught me to work hard, be disciplined and to never give up.The steps I am taking to reach my goal are; getting good grades, practicing both the mental and physical parts of the game, working with a personal trainer for conditioning and with my pitching and hitting coaches.
