Personal Statement
My goals in life are pretty simple. I want to be a good person and help make this world a better place.
I love to be active and play sports. Softball is my favorite, but I also enjoy volleyball. I have been playing baseball/softball since I was 4. Athletic schedules tend to run my family’s lives. I am 1 of 4 very busy children. Although we are busy with extracurricular events most days, my parents have brought all of us up to know the importance of our education too. School always comes first in the Alexander house. I am currently one of the top of my class. I am a driven person by nature and as I get older, I am becoming quite competitive as well. Being driven is probably one of my strongest personality traits. I am also a very supportive teammate, but do expect my teammates to have the same level of dedication and willingness to put in the work and time needed.
I believe that we need to represent ourselves, our family, and our teams well. I try to volunteer as much as I can. I was my school’s Jr high Students’ In Action President and enjoyed the opportunities that gave me. SIA helped me grow my leadership skills and has given me more confidence in public speaking. In years past, I lead more by example, but due to SIA, I am getting more comfortable using my voice too.
Family is also very important to me. If I am not busy with my own activites, I like to go and watch my siblings participate in their events too. Whether it be a football game, wrestling, track, a softball game, a robotics tournament or a play/musical, I love to watch and support my family.
