Personal Statement

My goal is to continue to improve my softball skills so I can play at the collegiate level, obtain a college degree, and eventually work in the field of physical therapy or sports medicine. I enjoy competition on the field and in the classroom. I am motivated to learn and I enjoy being a teammate and leader.

  • We played in the PGF Showdown in Crown Point, IN. It was good to get back on the field to get in some game action against good competition. We had victories over the Beverly Bandits Premier Conroy and the Midwest Machine and we battled to a tie with the Beverly Bandits Moran. My hitting stats for the weekend were 8H in 16AB with 1K. Pitching, I threw 12.1 innings and gave up 7H and 3 ER.

  • Worked with IU coaches and players on fielding, pitching and hitting drills in the morning, and live scrimmages in the afternoon.

  • We finished up our summer season playing in the Great Lakes Showcase in Ohio during the 3rd week of July. We played up in the 16U division and our record was 3-3. At the plate I was 8/13 with 6 RBI’s, 2 doubles, and 1K. I pitched 7.2 innings with 5K, 1 BB, and 2 ER.

  • I just returned from the USSSA World Fast Pitch Championships in Kansas City. We played tough competition and came away with a 3-2 record in bracket play. I pitched 19 innings for the week and my highlights were pitching 4 scoreless innings against the Impact Gold National team from Texas, and pitching a complete game victory over Texas Glory. Hitting, I was 8/21 with 6 RBI’s and only 2 K’s for the week.

  • I got to pitch the first 3 innings in the in the IDT All-Star game on Monday night and didn’t give up an earned run. For the rest of the week, my IMG team went 2-3-1 in pool play and 2-1 in bracket play and we played some really good teams from California and Texas. For our pool play and bracket games, I pitched 15.2 innings with 2 ER, 12 K’s and 3 BB. Hitting, I was 9/26 with 2 doubles, 2 HR, 15 RBI’s, and 2K’s.

  • My Prospects team finished the season at the Southern Force Showcase in Atlanta, GA where we went 6-0. I pitched a few innings in all 6 games (over 17 innings total) and my coach said one of the college coaches he was chatting with clocked my fastball at 62 mph in the Saturday morning game.

  • My Prospects team played in the PGF Firecracker showcase in at Grand Park in Westfield, IN. Our record was 2-2-2 against some good competition. I pitched in all 6 games and my pitching stats were 11.1 IP, 15 H (6 of these were against the Beverly Bandits team that won every game in our pool), 5 ER (3 in the Beverly Bandits game), 5 BB, and 7 K’s. At the plate I was 6/12 with 3 doubles, 1 HR, 2 BB, and 3 K’s.

  • My Prospects team played in the Ohio Outlaws Summer Invitational Showcase. We went 2-2 in pool play and won our first bracket game against the LIDS Indiana Dreams 02 team. We lost our second bracket game to a very good Michigan Finesse team that made it to the championship game. I pitched 12.0 innings and gave up 13 hits and 5 BB while striking out 12 and allowing 7 ER. Hitting I went 3/9 with 1 K, but I had 4 BB and 1 HBP.

  • My Prospects team was in the 14U Super Pool. We were the only 1st year 14U team in our pool and went 1-5 against really good competition. Because of summer school, I missed the Thursday game and joined my team on Friday. I pitched in 4/5 games we had left to play. I struggled a bit with my control in the first 2 games, but got back into a groove in the last 2 games I pitched. Overall, I pitched 13.0 innings with 21 hits (14 in the first 2 games, only 7 in the last 2 games), 1 BB, 3K’s, and 5 ER. Hitting, I was 4/9 with 3 singles and 1 double, 3BB and 1K.

  • My Prospects 03 team won the USA Elite Select WFC Qualifier in Indianapolis, IN. My team went 1-1 in pool play and won all 4 of our games in bracket play. I pitched in some capacity in all 6 of our games and was the winning pitcher in the championship game. My pitching stats were 23.1 IP, 16K’s 18H, 7BB, and 2ER. My hitting stats were 16AB with 8H (6 singles and 2 doubles), 1BB and 0K.

  • My team played in their first outdoor event this year in Cumming, Georgia called the USA Elite Select Invitational (14U) against some of the best teams in the SE U.S. My team went 4-3 overall and placed 9th out of 42 teams. I pitched in 5 of the 7 games and my stats included 15 IP, 7 ER, 8 K’s, 14 hits, and 8 BB’s. Hitting, I was 7/14 with 2 BB, 4K’s and 1 extra base hit.
