I could easily list you hundreds and hundreds of reasons of why I play softball, but I want to go more in depth. When I step on to that field, nothing else in the world matters to me. I am 100% about the game in that moment, always thinking about "What will happen next?" "What if this happens?". Playing softball separates me from reality. It is my stress reliever. I love the dirt under my finger nails and in my hair, the grass stains on my jerseys, and the blisters on my hands from taking so many cuts, and I wouldn't want it any other way.
My family, teammates, and coaches are some of the most important people in my life and I try to make sure that always know that. Making sure they know how thankful I am for them. If I put myself into one of their shoes, I would describe myself as very determined and hardworking. I would also express myself as very jolly, I always have a smile on my face and looking at the good in things.
Having a great coach-player relationship is very valuable to me. A coach that can push me to get better, but at the same time I can sit down and have a talk with while being completely comfortable. Someone I can trust with anything and everything. I want a coach that knows what each player is capable of and wont stop encouraging them until they reach their goals and more. A tough but fair coach is absolutely perfect.
