Mackenna Meyer 2...I've been playing softball for most of my life and to this day, softball is the thing that makes me the happiest. Playing at the collegiate level has always been one of my biggest goals and everyday I’m trying to improve my game to get there. Whether that is working on fundamentals, being a better teammate, mental performance or softball IQ, I put in 100% of my effort into improving to be my best. I pride myself on being coachable and incorporating the tips I’m given on and off the diamond. I take all of the opportunities that I can to teach younger kids about softball and I always help with whatever skills camps I can. I also attend a school where we focus on softball in the afternoon and incorporate softball into our schooling. We consistently work out and lift weights which helps with athleticism.
Education is very important to me, I always stay on top of work that needs to be done and keep my grades up. My goals for high school are to maintain an overall grade average of 90% or higher and to continue to be on the honour roll. I set high expectations for myself because I know that I am capable of achieving what I set my mind to. I want to be on a collegiate team because I know I can be a valuable member. I know that playing collegiate ball is a once in a lifetime opportunity that would help me become a better person. I’m always working as hard as I can to get closer to my dream goal of playing softball in college. I want to be a role model to others and inspire young softball players to always take pride in their game and to always work on improving.
