My name is Nevada Johnson. Softball runs in my family. My grandmother played, my grandfather coached my dad, my dad was a pitcher and represented Canada in the Pan Am Games. I love to play, I love to compete, I love to learn. I am all about the team. After a phenomenal year with University of British Columbia Okanagan club team, where I was the starting pitcher in the National Championship final and drove in the game-winning runs in a walk-off hit in the 9th inning, I am looking for new softball challenges. My leadership work includes my city’s Mayor’s Youth Council, I am a facilitator in a Youth Empowering Youth program, I provide private pitching lessons to a number of young teens, I am assistant coach to a 2009 A division team, and I have applied to be an apprentice coach to Team British Columbia for the 2023 North American Indigenous Games as I am of Metis heritage. I am proud to have been invited to the Team Canada Final Selection Camp, 2022 and a member of Team BC.
