Sage Haakenson '23 Recruiting Profile

I am a 2023 graduate looking to play high level softball at a school that will support and help me academically.  I believe that I am a good teammate and asset to a team as I'm very coachable, hardworking and dedicated to my team. I’m passionate and a leader, as a competitor I strive to better understand the game, I get along with and support my team and know when it’s time to zone in and get serious. I’m accountable, trustworthy and a dependable person. I know as a travel player that I’m not just representing myself but my team, organization, province and country. I think what makes me different from other athletes is my drive, I play for myself; nobody makes me want to play except myself, I don’t play to prove myself to anyone. I play for the love of the game. I play for my team and my organization.  My desire to play and better myself and other players helps as a teammate and as a potential coach . I strive to academically better myself for the sake of post secondary education and future career paths.  I think that whatever school I go to it must help me with my future and help me get into a career/life path that’s best for me.
