Hi, my name is Hattie Rickertsen, and I’m a sophomore at Central Dewitt High School who plays softball and runs track. I usually play left or center field; on the track, I sprint and do long jump. I’ve always been someone who works really hard and pushes myself to be better every day, whether that’s on the field, the track, or in the classroom.
One of my strengths is being a supportive and positive teammate. I get along with everyone, and I try to be someone others can count on both in games and practices. I’m always open to advice and willing to try new things, and I think that helps me grow as an athlete. I try to lead by example through my work ethic and attitude, and I’m always ready to step up when needed.
School is really important to me, too. I’m in honors and college-level classes and currently have a 4.0 weighted GPA. I try to give my best effort in everything I do, and I’ve learned how to manage my time between sports and school while also being in school clubs and activities outside of school.
My goal is to compete in college and be part of a team that works hard and supports each other.
