Personal Statement
Family is a core value of mine, as my own family has been supportive with my passion for softball from the start. It is critical for me to visualize myself as a member of a softball family and community.
I started playing softball at age 11, and immediately fell in love with the game. I decided quickly that I wanted to try to learn how to be a pitcher. I pitched my first season at 12u. Pitching has taught me how to be mentally strong and helped me to truly understand that softball is a team sport. My job is to put the ball in the zone and trust my teammates.
I hope to study something related to sociology or criminology, while still keeping my options open. I enjoy taking photography pictures on the side and helping my sister’s 10U softball team develop a love of the game as well.
