When I was 7, I decided I wanted to be a pitcher and started teaching myself to pitch into a throw-back net in my backyard. My family and I moved to Bonner Springs, Kansas, right before my 8th birthday. Still eager to be a pitcher, I started taking private lessons.
When I set my mind to something, I put everything into it to achieve that goal. I wanted to be a varsity pitcher my freshman year in high school, and I was selected as the starting varsity pitcher my freshmen year. I believe I am a strong leader, encouraging my teammates and inspiring younger kids.
I am a dedicated and hardworking person in all that I do. During the school year, I am a football manager in the fall and a powerlifting manager in the winter season. I understand the importance of managing my time and maintaining my grades. I am successful in achieving a strong GPA while participating in interscholastic activities. In my sophomore year, I was selected as a member of the Basehor-Linwood High School Chapter of the National Honors Society of Secondary Schools. I am passionate about giving back to my community and help in times of need. I volunteer at church, providing assistance at VBS and Junior church.
